Waha Kaun hai Tera......
I was listening to old music when suddenly this song started playing from the film Guide Waha Kaun Hai Tera Musafir Jayega Kaha. It was a sudden realization that someone was singing this song to me about India.
I went to India 4 years back in 2019 for 3 weeks. We were very excited as we were going first time since we moved to Ireland in 2016. We planned this as we needed to attend Reyansh’s Mundan ceremony and my brother-in-law’s marriage. We travelled to Bhubaneshwar for Marriage and to Puri Jagannath Temple as well. My mother was very excited and happy. She arranged Satyanarayan Katha, Rudrabhishek, and many such events for us. She was also enthusiastic about Puri Travel, which is one of the Hindu Dhaam. The trip was memorable as there were so many events and family functions. My sister was happy due to the Mundan event as a Bua in Vindhyachal Temple.
So much travel in less time and lots of fun, food, and so much gathering infect every day was filled with joy.
Some family drama is also without which you cannot imagine a marriage function completely. But those days were so memorable and captured in our minds. Sometimes when those photo flash in memory then, it looks like it was just yesterday.
Technology makes our life so convenient that we can talk to our family members daily and live day-to-day life with them. My mother called me almost daily and also at all festivals.
She is the first to wake me on birthdays or festivals. She informed us which festival was started and what we should take care which means vegetarian on some occasions. What s happening in relatives’ and friends’ families.
She can endlessly talk to me on call from Politics to gossip. She was also very active on Facebook and needed everyone to like and comment on her status when she posted.
She sang almost 200 songs in the Starmaker app and always called me for feedback and sometimes to complete another part of the duet song. She loved to sing songs at festivals and birthdays.
During Covid, my mother and sister were not able to survive. They left their memories in photos, songs, and apps. Now, Technology has drawbacks that make it very difficult to believe that they are no more. Physically nothing is left of their memory of when they saw them last time as everything has changed.
I could not travel to India since 2019; frankly, I don’t want to imagine an India without them.
The song is correct for me Waha Kaun Hai Tera Musafir jayega Kahan
